itelligence AG, one of the world’s most highly successful SAP partners, has signed a global framework agreement for managed services with ArcelorMittal SA, the world’s largest steel corporation (220,000 employees). The agreement underlines the trust ArcelorMittal has in the quality of itelligence AG’s services, including those based on the SAP HANA® platform. itelligence is certified by SAP to deliver high-quality IT operations services for customers whose applications are running on itelligence’s own cloud for SAP HANA, performing a range of IT services including managing the technical infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery.
itelligence AG’s first customer for SAP HANA operations services is impressed
As the first itelligence customer to use SAP HANA operations services, ArcelorMittal has made a clear statement regarding the advantages of the SAP HANA platform, the foundation of the itelligence “Provider Cloud.” What’s more, the steel corporation also benefits from other services delivered via the itelligence Provider Cloud.
Since 2012, itelligence AG has been responsible for hosting ArcelorMittal’s SAP systems in Ukraine. In addition to hosting traditional SAP systems from the itelligence Provider Cloud, itelligence AG also provides the customer with scalable itelligence operations services for SAP HANA, based on SAP HANA tailored data center integration.
The advantages at a glance: OpEx instead of CapEx
For ArcelorMittal, using itelligence AG’s managed services and cloud platforms is a cost-effective, flexible and efficient alternative to running its own. The collaboration allows the company to profit from the flexibility of the cloud solutions: instead of conventional hardware and infrastructure investments (CapEx), a flexible model of operative services (OpEx) can be used. ArcelorMittal uses the applications directly in the cloud and pays only for what it needs and uses on an individual basis.
