TOKYO – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services provider, today announced it has been named a Leader in NelsonHall’s 2023 NEAT vendor evaluation for Quality Engineering. The NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & NelsonHall Assessment Tool (NEAT) report rated vendors based on their ability to deliver immediate benefits to clients and meet future client technology requirements in a number of areas, including application security testing, RPA-based test automation, AI-based analytics & automation, UX testing, cloud migration testing, and ERP & COTS testing.
Demand for Quality Engineering services has been increasing in recent years as technology customers look to move beyond traditional detection and prevention of defects and focus more on improving overall software quality. Leaders such as NTT DATA are responding by investing in continuous testing platforms, applying automation to support services such as test environment and test data management, and introducing AI-based automation to drive efficiencies through the process.
“Modernization and digital transformation projects are driving the need for improved software quality across industries and geographies,” said Kaz Nishihata, Director and Senior Executive Vice President at NTT DATA Group Corporation. “NelsonHall’s recognition of NTT DATA as a Leader validates that our complete range of testing services will ensure our clients’ software meets business requirements, delivers a quality user experience, and is free of security vulnerabilities.”
Among NTT DATA’s strengths, NelsonHall listed the company’s expansion of its Quality Engineering Platform, QEP, an internally developed product that NTT DATA doesn’t sell but provides as part of its testing services. NelsonHall also credited NTT DATA with developing a comprehensive set of AI-based analytics use cases, investing in AI to support the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing practice, and creating Rapid Process Automation (RPA) bots for its test automation needs.
“NTT DATA continues to bring automation to its clients and service portfolio,” said Dominique Raviart, IT Services Practice Director at NelsonHall. “The company aggregates IPs around its continuous testing platform QEP, well beyond continuous testing, to include AI use cases, BDD, and model-based testing. NTT DATA also uses RPA bots to complement existing test automation, taking a systematic approach.”
NelsonHall projects revenues in the global software testing services market will grow at 6% combined annual rates to $52 billion by 2027.
