NTT DATA, a recognized leader in global technology services, today announced it has been named a Leader in the NelsonHall NEAT Report for Healthcare Operational Analytics Services, in the payer and provider operations market segments. The company achieved this recognition by exhibiting a high ability, relative to its peers, to both deliver immediate benefit and meet client future requirements.
John Willmott, NelsonHall CEO, said, “The current pandemic is shaping the future of not just healthcare analytics but healthcare overall, and NTT DATA clearly has the ability and opportunity to meet its clients’ most significant immediate and long-term needs including provider network analysis, value-based care, member care management, prevention, early detection and managing chronic diseases.”
The NelsonHall vendor assessment evaluated NTT DATA’s capabilities in healthcare operational analytics and identified the company as a leader based on its strategy and diverse portfolio of health plan and provider offerings. Implementing comprehensive BPaaS contracts, especially for payers, and expertise with population health, telehealth, and associated operational analytics services, were also cited as reasons for this ranking.
The study highlighted the company’s healthcare analytics platforms including Business Insights Engine (BIE), Digital Health Platform and Healthcare Provider Analytics (HePA).
“As healthcare organizations struggle to understand the impact COVID-19 will have on future operations, they have turned to our intelligent analytics solutions. One example is our AI predictive model that can make early predictions of health plan members at risk of certain chronic diseases. This can be particularly important now as currently available information indicates that people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions are at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19,” said Shashi Yadiki, Health Plan President, NTT DATA Services. “Used correctly, data is one of the most effective tools we have to keep our communities safe and healthy.”
The report noted that the market for healthcare operational analytics services in the U.S. is forecasted to grow at roughly 12 percent from $800 million in 2019 to $1.25 billion in 2023. In the health plan sector, the most significant demand for analytics is in support of member services and enrollment, provider network analysis and member care management, including telehealth. In the healthcare provider sector, provider analytics are key to driving patient care access and outcomes as well as in revenue cycle management.
