Brand Strategy of the Year: NTT DATA Business Solutions Wins the German Brand Award 2022

Bielefeld, June 10, 2022 – NTT DATA Business Solutions AG made a strong impression on the jury of the prestigious German Brand Award with its international rebranding project #Transformation2021. The leading international SAP consultancy for small and medium-sized enterprises has been recognized in two categories for the best brand strategy of the year 2022. NTT DATA Business Solutions has won in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Strategy of the Year” and received a “Special Mention” in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Design – Corporate Brand.”

The rebranding project #Transformation2021 marks a milestone in the history of the company. For over 30 years, the name itelligence has stood for top-notch SAP skills and solid industry expertise. In April 2021, a new era began – the previous, independent branding was transformed to match the NTT DATA Group branding. At that point, itelligence became NTT DATA Business Solutions. The rebranding also sent a signal internationally: the brand relaunch is part of NTT DATA Group’s large global growth and branding initiative being organized under the motto “ONE NTT DATA – Grow as one.”

In addition to the new branding and new designs in internal and external communication, a global campaign titled “Transformation is not about technology” was launched in more than 30 national subsidiaries simultaneously.

The rebranding project #Transformation2021 made a big impression on the jury of the German Brand Awards, which honors the best campaigns and most important brand builders every year. NTT DATA Business Solutions developed the rebranding project in cooperation with LHLK Agentur für Kommunikation and the agency wob AG, which was also recognized in this year’s German Brand Awards. For its work on the project for NTT DATA Business Solutions, B2B marketing agency wob AG won awards in the categories “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Revival of the Year” and “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Communication – 360° Campaign.”

The German Brand Award is one of the most important German marketing industry awards for brand management. It is presented every year by the German Brand Institute and the German Design Council, a non-profit foundation funded by the private sector. The German Design Council was founded in 1953 in order to boost the design expertise of German industry. Today, the German Brand Award is an internationally renowned award for successful brands, excellent brand management and effective brand communication. The jury consists of independent experts from the brand communication sector and the academic discipline of brand management, and it presents the awards in more than 60 categories.
