HxGN EAM means possibilities with data and opportunities to drive compliance and spend reduction.
Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus operator with over 8,500 vehicles, has transformed its engineering operations with the HxGN Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
After relying on a 30-year-old, paper-heavy system, Stagecoach needed a modern solution to streamline maintenance, improve visibility, and future-proof its operations. “It required a lot of paper input and caused big issues getting vehicles roadworthy and back on the road quickly,” recalled a project lead.
Over 15 months, a dedicated project team rolled out HxGN EAM across 18 operating companies, training 2,500 staff and replacing manual processes with tablet-based workflows. “Everything’s clearer, easier to find, and all there on the tablet,” said an engineer.
Stagecoach’s partner was key to success, providing hands-on support and business insight. “Their knowledge is the biggest benefit we’ve driven from that relationship. They’re helpful, friendly, and very approachable,” noted the team.
The results speak for themselves: faster maintenance, real-time access to vehicle and parts data, and enhanced operational insight. “It’s moved us from a lot of paper records to an online system and gives us much more visibility than we had previously,” said a senior manager.
From efficiency gains to supporting net zero goals, Stagecoach’s adoption of HxGN EAM is helping the company drive smarter, greener operations.
