The Transform Path to SAP S/4HANA

If you read our previous post, you learned that there are 3 paths that we typically see organizations take toward implementing SAP S/4HANA. These include Transform, Optimize, and Procrastinate. Today, I’m going to focus more in-depth on the Transform group.

Migration Now to Transform Now

Companies that fall into the Transform camp are those that are planning to migrate to S/4HANA in the next 0-2 years. In some cases, they are requiring detailed business cases to show the value. In other cases, they are moving because the value is already easily proven. In either case, they are starting their migration now, to achieve their business transformation goals sooner.

CIOs in the Transform camp have realized that the migration to S/4HANA is not merely a technical effort that has to be performed. They know that the sooner the upgrade is performed, the sooner the real business impact can begin.

Their company executives don’t care about “a simplified data model,” but they do care about competitive business models accompanied by real time analytics. These businesses know that if they are not transforming, someone else in their market is ready to pounce on an opportunity to take advantage of their lack of agility.

Augmented Intelligence is happening now, leveraging it to shift resources to focus on higher payback processes is a win on multiple fronts. These companies are ready to leverage a transformation workshop to identify competitive processes that will bring the company to a new level.
