Chairman of the Audit Committee & Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Prof. Heiner Schumacher studied Economics at the University of Bonn and started his career in 1972 at KPMG AG, Düsseldorf. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, he worked for KPMG in their Düsseldorf, Paris and Bielefeld offices until 2010. Since 1997, he has been an Office Management Partner responsible for Audit and Consulting, stock quoted companies, limited partnerships and family-owned companies.

Outside of his professional career, Heiner Schumacher was awarded an honorary professorship for Economics at the University of Bielefeld in 2008, where he still teaches today. He has published several publications on Accounting and Audit and supported the NGO SOS Children Villages during its establishment, as well as through his honorary activities in the areas of Finance and Human Resources (HR).

He is an expert in Corporate Governance and Foundations and has been a partner of KAP 1 Consulting for a decade. Heiner Schumacher joined the Supervisory Board of NTT DATA Business Solutions (back then itelligence) in 2012 as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Prior to that, he was a member of several Supervisory Boards at Global Partner GmbH and AvP AG.
