Better User Experience with SSO and Identity Management

Tim Broomhead, Technical Solution Architect, NTT DATA Business Solutions UK

One of the key time consuming activities for any organisation is the need to constantly support their business community with access type requests to their IT and Business systems – from ad-hoc system requests, to forgotten passwords and locked accounts.   To make matters more complicated, many businesses are moving to a hybrid landscape approach, accessing a variety of applications both in the cloud and on premise, which could mean more effort for user management.

This also impacts my day to day life on implementation projects, where we (typically technical) are constantly supporting password resets and account readiness both during and post go-lives.  This got me thinking about how we could improve the entire user experience on both new and existing SAP technologies and landscapes.

With this in mind I would like to share some of the quick wins and more strategic products to support a better end user experience, and at the same, providing a more secure SAP landscape by adopting best practices for security, including user self-service, 2 factor authentication and more.

Please join me at my #itelli2019 session ‘Better User Experience with SSO and Identity Management’ to learn more, where I will share some of our recent approaches and provide an insight into supporting technology (both Cloud and On-premise) which can improve user experience across SAP landscapes, while at the same time reduce workload from your support teams.  The session takes place at 4:00pm in Keats on the fourth floor.  Register for #itelli2019 here
