Decoding the SAP Roadmaps for BW, BPC and Business Objects

It will not come as a surprise to SAP customers that investment and innovation is focused on SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere. But did you know that these solutions have developed radically over the past 3 years and that moving to these cloud solutions and gaining access to innovation is getting easier?

SAP Netweaver BW 7.5 and SAP Business Planning & Consolidation 10.1 are both out of support at the end of 2027. Some customers may be planning an upgrade to SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BPC, version for SAP BW/4HANA but a move to SAP BW/4HANA should not be mistaken for a simple upgrade project; this is a conversion project that impacts every object in the system. There is a simplification list for SAP BW/4HANA too, in the same way as there is for SAP S/4HANA, meaning if you’re utilising features like Workbook Broadcasting, BEx Analyser and Web Dynpro dashboards, you will need to look at alternative solutions.
