Brexit and the Impact on SAP Customers. Part 7
Author: Claire Neale, Solution Architect, NTT DATA Business Solutions UK.
In light of recent updates to some of the key OSS notes, this is the seventh in my series of Brexit blogs, intended to help you navigate through the changes introduced as a result of UK (England, Scotland, Wales excl. Northern Ireland) leaving the EU.
Clarification points related to Intrastat reporting:
- UK (England, Scotland, Wales excl. Northern Ireland) are no longer part of the EU and therefore are no longer required to produce Intrastat Returns or EC Sales Lists for dispatches (exports)
- For imports (arrivals) into UK (excl. Northern Ireland) from the EU, Intrastats are still required on a monthly basis (if over the £1.5m reporting threshold) for 2021 only
This is to support the UK in monitoring of the imports as the UK allows importers to defer import customs declarations between 1 January and 30 June 2021.
- Reporting thresholds for intrastat reporting are:
- £1,500,000 for arrivals (imports from EU to GB or EU to NI)
- £250,000 for dispatches (NI to EU exports)
The following OSS notes are key to Intrastat reporting:
