2 Steps to SAP S/4HANA with Natuvion’s ALLFIELD approach
Step 1: The System Shell Moves and Gets Adapted
With the ALLFIELD approach, an empty system shell is first created, which only contains the customizing and the relevant customer-specific programming from the productive SAP system. This step is also called «Shell Creation». Without the corresponding master and transaction data, this shell can be easily migrated to SAP S/4HANA.
In its empty form, you can now also adjust the customizing of processes and organizational structures that would otherwise be prevented by the master and transaction data. The shell also serves as a template for project-specific test systems.
Step 2: Only Selected Data Follows into the New SAP S/4HANA System
In the next step, the data is selectively transferred from the old system to the adapted system running on SAP S/4HANA and its new data structures. As a customer, you therefore have the freedom to decide to what extent you want to transfer your existing data. This can be done step by step and data from several SAP ERP systems can be combined in one SAP S/4HANA system.
If desired, you can cleanse and harmonize the data in the same step. With the ALLFIELD approach, the time in which the systems are not available due to the transition can be reduced to a minimum, up to a near-zero downtime.
