NTT DATA Business Solutions enters into partnership with Soley
Streamlining their product portfolio saves SAP customers millions
NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, the globally successful SAP consultant for the SME sector, has entered into partnership with Soley GmbH, Munich. Soley, an SAP partner, offers software for the strategic optimization of complex product portfolios of manufacturing companies that integrate easily with SAP S/4HANA. Founded in 2015 as a spin-off from the Chair of Product Development at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Soley GmbH already counts well-known German manufacturing companies among its customers today.
Soley developed a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service solution for Product Mining. This enables manufacturing companies to analyze their product portfolio in a systematic manner using pattern recognition – a part of Predictive Analytics – and derive measures from the results. The companies can thereby sustainably reduce the complexity of their product portfolio and of their value stream.
Component variety can be reduced by 50 percent

A network analysis uncovers critical dependencies between components, products, suppliers, production, warehousing and customers. Thanks to the automated analysis, product portfolio maintenance becomes a cyclical process with Soley. Companies maintain their product portfolio using continually refined criteria, dispose of unnecessary ballast and focus on their core business. In the process, they can reduce component variety by up to 50 percent. Reference customer Viessmann, manufacturer of heating systems as well as climate control and cooling systems, is unlocking savings potential worth millions through this type of portfolio management.
