Haberkorn, the leading technical dealer in Austria, which supplies industrial and construction companies with products such as work safety equipment, lubricants, hoses, machine elements and hydraulics, is making steady progress with its expansion strategy. In recent years, the Haberkorn Group has expanded its market position by acquiring four German companies. These acquired companies are to be gradually merged into a new, unified company by 2026. The basis for this transformation process is SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition as a standardized ERP system.
SAHLBERG GmbH is the first company in the Haberkorn Group to have gone live with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition using a greenfield approach. A critical success factor is comprehensive data migration, which requires over 190,000 material masters and 20,000 business partners to be integrated. The company opted for a private cloud solution that offers more control and customization compared to public cloud solutions, which is an additional benefit for the individual requirements of complex wholesale processes. SAP best practice (fit-to-standard) was applied to use predefined, standardized processes that ensure efficient and effective implementation of the system. The seamless transition to the new system was implemented successfully in remote collaboration. 90% of the work was carried out almost without a hitch in distributed teams.
During the implementation phase, SAP Cloud ALM was used to enable project and requirements management to be as transparent as possible. NTT DATA Business Solutions’ propriety solution TAMOYA was also used to support the business processes as efficiently as possible. TAMOYA enables five KEP service providers and forwarding agents to connect directly to the SAP system. This guarantees the continuous tracking of the shipping process, from order creation to delivery. In addition, GLASSWING provides future-proof and consistent master data management. Haberkorn has completed its transition into the new ERP era with the successful implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition greenfield project. The go-live at Sahlberg GmbH marks the start of more implementation projects. With a global template, Haberkorn is well prepared for rollout at its subsidiaries.
