NTT DATA Business Solutions Cements Its Place as an Award-Winning SAP Partner
At NTT DATA Business Solutions, we have worked closely with our customers and SAP since our foundation in 1989. Over the years, we have received many awards for our work with SAP technology. And our status as an award-winning SAP partner has continued in 2019, with us being recognized with an SAP Innovation Award and an SAP Pinnacle Award. So, how did we earn these two prestigious awards?
In 2003, we first achieved SAP partner status. As they say, the rest is history. We have ambitiously looked to build on our position as a leading SAP partner and achieved this by winning many awards over the following years up until the present day. To reach this goal, we have focused on innovation with SAP technology, creating best practices, and, most of all, providing our customers with first-class support services.
Innovations to Enhance Environmental Protection
We were recognized with an SAP Innovation Award in the Process Innovator category in 2019. These accolades are given for creative use of SAP technologies to support companies in digital economy. Our teams used drones and image recognition to enhance environmental protection. So, what did this entail?
Using a trained and optimized algorithm, drones took images which were then processed to automatically detect weeds. This functionality was based on SAP technology. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data – technologies we support customers with on a daily basis – played a key role in identifying weeds in images. The project was a collaboration with Danish drone manufacturer ProDrone. Staff from four Danish councils were able to update existing mapping of weeds and use the information to perform control work. The SAP Innovation Awards team will donate 20,800 US dollars to charitable organizations on behalf of the award winners.
Reaching the Pinnacle with SAP Technology
The second award we picked up in 2019 was the SAP Pinnacle Award as the SAP Global Platinum Reseller of the Year. We are particularly proud of this award as it highlights our commitment to helping our customers transform trust into value. This prestigious award recognizes companies for outstanding contributions in their roles as SAP partners and excellent customer support. Judges consider various factors, such as transforming businesses with SAP products, driving innovation, and developing effective strategies for success in the digital economy. We were also nominated for four other finalist categories: General Business Cloud Partner of the Year, SAP SuccessFactors Partner of the Year – Small and Midsize Companies, SAP S/4HANA Movement Partner of the Year, and the Industry Innovation Award.
SAP presents the SAP Pinnacle Awards annually to leading partners who have gone above and beyond to develop their status as an SAP partner, while offering excellent service to customers. Winners and finalists are split into 30 different categories and chosen based on recommendations from the SAP field, customer feedback, and performance indicators.
All of the award-winning SAP partners will be officially presented with their prizes on May 6, 2019, in Orlando, Florida at the SAP Global Partner Summit. The event is held alongside SAPPHIRE NOW® and the ASUG Annual Conference – the largest global business technology event hosted by SAP and the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group.
