Context of the project

With 50 years of experience, Roland Berger is a company specializing in management consulting. Founded in Germany, Roland Berger cultivates its European origins to advise its clients beyond borders. As a world leader, Roland Berger has embarked on an overhaul of its IT system to maintain its leadership and take advantage of international growth opportunities.

In order to support this new decision, the firm’s old systems have become obsolete.

Roland Berger turned to the SAP Business ByDesign solution, which responds to the complexity and evolution of service companies. NTT DATA Business Solutions, world leader in SAP solutions, was appointed by Roland Berger to implement the SAP Cloud solution.

Standardization and unification of processes worldwide

An SAP Cloud solution allows large account subsidiaries to benefit from a complete management system, connected to the parent company. With a single Internet connection, it is no longer necessary to have a complex infrastructure to access standard functionalities. Roland Berger employees thus benefit from complete processes wherever they are.

The Czech Republic was the first subsidiary of the group to implement and use the tool. In order to respond to the specificities of the country, it was necessary to integrate the local currency, the tax or the financial accounting. In addition to these specifications, the customized version includes additional forms, reports and formats in the original country language. This part of the project only takes a few weeks to complete and will be adapted to all the other subsidiaries.
