TIB Chemicals AG is a medium-sized, internationally active chemical company headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. The company has a long tradition and specializes in the development, production, and distribution of specialty chemicals.

Its product range includes sulfur and tin chemicals, catalysts, metal soaps, corrosion protection products, and electroplating specialties. Customers come from a wide range of industries, including chemicals, automotive, metal processing, and construction.

TIB Chemicals is characterized by its strong customer focus and high level of research expertise. The company attaches great importance to quality, sustainability, and compliance with strict legal requirements, for example, with regard to environmental protection and occupational safety. With several locations and sales companies worldwide, TIB Chemicals is well-positioned internationally.

The foundation was laid by a broad-based tender process in which eight partners presented their expertise. GTS – Intelligent control of global processes

Another core element of TIB Chemicals’ strategy is the integration of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS). This bundles central modules for compliance, customs, preferences, and Intrastat in a single system. This allows international trade processes to be controlled securely, efficiently, and automatically – an important success factor for the chemical company’s growing global business.

With an interdisciplinary team of around 70 people – consisting of key users, trainers, and stream managers – TIB Chemicals is setting up its own project organization. The medium-sized company is deliberately ensuring a broad cross-section of expertise in order to avoid silos and to consider change management from the outset.
