Tour de France Grand Depart 2022

From July 1st to July 3rd everyone in Denmark was cheering and celebrating as Tour de France, the world’s biggest annual sporting event, for the first time entered Danish ground – including our Danish colleagues and customers.

NTT, our parent company, is sponsoring the event and has been working closely together with the race organizers, Amaury Sports Organisation (A.S.O.) to digitize the event, which you can read more about here. A.S.O.’s digital transformation journey is focused on continually creating new experiences for their fans, both long-time followers and those who may be discovering the Tour for the first time.

The NTT Big Data Truck

For the first time NTT and A.S.O. has introduced a “Digital Human” to the event (see the picture on the left). The Digital Human will function as a digital Tour de France guide with location in the fan park in Copenhagen and in NTT’s Big Data Truck, which follows the entire tour.

Here the Digital Human will offer the users real-time information of the race along with local information of the specific locations. Read more about it here.

The Tour de France caravan is now in France and will end in Paris on Sunday July 24th. We are looking forward to following the rest of the race and are especially cheering for the Danish riders in the race!
