NTT DATA Business Solutions: Successful SAP S/4HANA „GO LIVE“ in Telenor Serbia and Montenegro (part of the PPF Group)

One year ago Telenor decided to replace the global ERP (Oracle Financials Cloud) with the new SAP S/4HANA solution and with very ambitious schedule – 1 year to Go LIVE. After the communication with potential partners, NTT DATA Business Solutions has been chosen for the execution of the Fit&Gap analysis, which started in October 2018. Based on the SAP Activate methodology, we delivered the outcome which clearly specified the GAPs between the SAP „best practice“ functionalities and specific required functionalities with estimated efforts and possible schedule.

Based on the great experience with the mutual cooperation, NTT DATA Business Solutions has been chosen also as the implementation partner.  After the 7 challenging months of implementation within the team of 7 nationalities, we are very proud to announce, that Telenor started to use their new ERP system on 1.10.2019 which means, that we reached the originally planned Go Live date.

The scope of the project covered the main telco ERP functional areas like financial accounting, controlling, fixed assets accounting, purchasing, sales and distribution, inventory management and real estate management. We would like to thank all the team members on Telenor’s side for the intensive effort and great cooperation and all the NTT DATA Business Solutions colleagues for their perseverance and passion for this project. We are looking forward to continuing in phase 2.
