Clear Design of EDI Communications
Now in its sixth generation, Rügenwalder Mühle Carl Müller GmbH & Co. KG is one of the most important and most well-known food manufacturers in Germany. So that the professional processing of its electronic data interchange with business partners can continue to be maintained, the company decided to replace its existing solution with the NTT DATA Business Solutions product.
Efficient Connection of Business Partners
Developed by NTT DATA Business Solutions, it.x-EDIconnect allows an optimized connection with customers and suppliers so that the exchange of electronic data is guaranteed. The connection with each business partner is made possible using adapters such as X.400, AS2, or File Share.
All the standard data formats for exchanging orders, invoices, and delivery receipts, such as VDA and EDIFACT, are supported. So Rügenwalder Mühle has at its disposal all the technical requirements for all electronic communication channels, whatever the needs on the supplier or customer side.
User-Friendly Interfaces
By using it.x-EDIconnect, Rügenwalder Mühle benefits from a user-friendly and modern interface that can be accessed simply through an Internet browser. The development of intuitive administration, configuration, and monitoring screens specific to specialist departments is possible here. The constant optimization of the monitoring can be carried out hand in hand thanks to the more efficient information search. Processes that have been executed incorrectly can also be repeated at any time after they have been corrected.
Optimization of Communications
The ability to track the business processes is simplified enormously and the operations conducted by the staff are made easier thanks to document-specific search options, for example by invoice number. It is possible to communicate with customers and suppliers quickly thanks to the transparent transmission of data, which in turn increases the ability to respond to orders. Markus Runkel, project manager at NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, and Bernd Wilken, project manager at Rügenwalder Mühle, report that the cooperation during the project was extremely positive, which was reflected very clearly in the trusting and confident project atmosphere. The many years of cooperation in particular had made it possible to swiftly implement the project.
