About the Author Mark Arts
In 1999, Mark Arts graduated from Maastricht University with a degree in International Business Studies. He stayed on as a teacher at the Marketing department and later on took up the position of project manager. In that capacity, he was responsible for the implementation of the Blackboard e-learning environment and the introduction of NetQuestionnaires between 2002 and 2006. From 2006 till 2009, he managed the SAP Student Lifecycle Management and Scientia Enterprise projects, which he combined with the streamlining of the educational organisation within Maastricht University. In 2009, Mark Arts joint NTT DATA Business Solutions Benelux Holding as Project Manager Education. Since May 2014, he is a member of the local management team as Director Education & Research. Arts is involved in the implementation and development of SAP Student Lifecycle Management and , education online and it.education. Apart from his work for NTT DATA Business Solutions, Mark Arts is the chairman of the foundation Stichting Henk Arts since 2005. This foundation, created by his family, supports an orphanage in Port Loko, Sierra Leone.
