itelligence extends Cloud migration for SAP® Systems to AWS

itelligence today announced a new capability for migrating SAP® systems to Amazon Web Services (AWS) based on the migration factory approach.

As part of the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) for SAP, the migration factory approach includes a structured and proven methodology, tools and consulting practice. This collaboration between itelligence and AWS combines a global cloud infrastructure with well-established migration scenarios and application management services for businesses using SAP solutions.

“The collaboration between AWS and itelligence brings a unique combination of services to the market,” says Lars Janitz, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Managed Services at itelligence. “We are proud to work together on this initiative.”

Amazon Web Services (AWS) MAP for SAP uses the migration factory approach along with itelligence’s well-proven migration standards for a structured and plannable transition to shift and run SAP S/4HANA® and other solutions to AWS. It includes defined structures, templates, best practices as well as certified resources for a guided migration of SAP solutions to AWS.

The process starts with a discovery workshop to explore the customer’s migration and modernization strategy to define the conceptual architecture. The next steps usually are an assessment of the total cost of ownership, a proof of concept and a migration plan. This structured approach offers a well-defined and guided path for a successful migration to AWS.

itelligence AG is a leading SAP partner with over 30 years of experience with proven methodology, tools and consulting as well as managed services practice. This is a solid foundation for migrating SAP systems to AWS. The offering includes prime application management services, especially designed for SAP solutions running on cloud architectural environments like AWS and a Center of Excellence (CoE) support structure with a follow-the sun-approach, especially for customers working globally. In addition to its consulting and managed services practice that span across the whole SAP solutions portfolio, itelligence offers more than 10 own-developed solutions in the it.x-product line.

“The constantly extended services proposition for cloud-based SAP environments leaves absolutely no doubt how serious we are about our mission statement ‘We manage your cloud,’” adds Lars Janitz.

For businesses using SAP solutions that are thinking about migrating SAP systems to AWS, this initiative is tailor made because it can reduce project risk to a minimum.
